Monster from Green Hell (1957)

It is a long list of the many insects, exposed to radiation, who have become giants. Ants, spiders, locusts, scorpions, etc. so why not a giant wasp! A wasp was sent into space and exposed to 40 hours of radiation. The spaceship crash landed in the interior of Western Africa and a team was led to investigate. Giant wasps were discovered and eventually destroyed by volcanic lava. This diorama by Monsters in Motion reflects the African savannah area where the wasps landed and were terrorizing the natives. MFGH is a black & white film so the wasp color is open to interpretation. From what we see in the film the giant wasps do not have traditional wasp color or markings. Two sets of wings came with the kit and the clear versions were used.
