Frankenstein (1931)

 In Universal

From Frankenstein. This diorama is a combination of two key elements.  The monster was manufactured by Billiken and the base, door, and electrical machines were manufactured by Nocturna Productions (David Fischer).  I used craft store doll’s eyes (with those black discs that move around when you jiggle them) and carefully cut off the curved part (they come in various sizes) and mounted those over the various dials on the machines.  On the base of one of the machines is the tag “Zardoz Electrical”.  Supposedly, the actual machines on the lab set of the 1931 Frankenstein film were provided by the company Zardoz Electrical so I added this tag in homage to the film set.
